The Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) is a national level examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) every year to provide admission to eligible candidates into pharmacy (PG) courses. Along with all the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) recognised institutions and universities, there are 800 participating institutes in GPAT.
Eligibility for GPAT
- Candidate must also hold a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy(B.PHARM)(4 year after 10+2) or equivalent from a recognised university.
- Candidates appearing for the final year of B.Pharm are also eligible to apply. It must be noted that B.Tech (pharmaceutical and fine chemical technology) degree holders are not eligible to apply for GPAT exam.
- Candidate must be Indian citizen.
- There is no age limit for appearing in the GPAT exam.
GPAT EXAM PATTERN
The exam pattern for GPAT is designed by the National Testing Agency (NTA). GPAT is conducte in an online computer based test(CBT). The GPAT question paper of the entrance test will contain 125 multiple choice questions (MCQS). For every correct answer student will get 4 marks -1 will be deducted for incorrect answer.
