Joint Entrance Examination [JEE] Mains.is a national level entrance examination conducted by NTA for admission into Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) and Architecture (B.Arch./B.Plan.) courses in the top CFTIs, like the NITs, IIITs, and SFIs, State Engineering Colleges of the participating states and other participating institutions
JEE Main is one of the largest engineering examinations that is conducted every year in India. JEE Mains is conducted twice a year, once in January and once in April. Lakhs of candidates from across the country apply for this examination so that they can have a shot at studying at one of the prestigious IITs in India. The examination is conducted for courses such as BTech, BArch, and BPlan.

An overview of the JEE Main 2020 Exam Pattern is given below:
- Question Type : The JEE Main 2020 question paper will have Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) for Paper-I and Paper-II except Drawing. Drawing is a subjective type.
- Topics : The JEE Main Question paper will comprise of the following topics:
- Paper-I : Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics
- Paper-II : Aptitude Test, Mathematics, and Drawing
- Duration : The time given to complete the JEE Main 2020 examination will be 3 hours, i.e. 180 minutes.
- Marking Scheme : Four marks will be awarded for every correct answer and one mark will be deducted for incorrect answers. For drawing, two questions will be asked for 100 marks.
- Medium/Language : The question paper could be attempted in English, Hindi, and Gujarati. From January 2021, JEE Main can be attempted in at least 11 languages which include English, Bengali, Assamese, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Odiya, Telugu, Tamil, and Urdu.
