The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a National Level Entrance Examination for admission to Management Programme(s) in the country. This Test facilitates AICTE affiliated participating Institutions to select suitable graduate candidates for admission to the Management Courses in such Institutions. Till 2018, the Test was conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). NTA is conducting this Test since 2019.
The CMAT is a three hours Computer Based Online Test which is conducted to evaluate the candidates ability across various segments like Quantitative Techniques, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, General Awareness and Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Eligibility for CMAT
The candidates aspiring to appear for the CMAT exam 2024 must qualify the basic CMAT eligibility criteria. The CMAT eligibility criteria are as follows:
- Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline. Candidates appearing for the final year of their Bachelor’s Degree and who are waiting for their results can also apply for the CMAT exam 2024.
- Candidates must be a citizen of India.
- There is no age limit for appearing in the CMAT exam 2024.
Exam Pattern
The CMAT exam pattern consists of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), with 20 questions per section. The marking scheme awards 4 marks for each correct attempt and deducts 1 mark for every incorrect attempt.
